What is cinemalaya? Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival is a film awards in the Philippines stanch to the enlargement and promotion of Filipino Independent films. The organizers anticipate that all the way through the festival, young filmmakers will be able to articulate their own notions freely and not be restricted by the industry's current clause, where artistic veracity is sacrificed in the chase of commercial success. The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is where the said event comes to pass.
