Honestly, I don’t shop religiously like any other girls. My friends know how I rarely buy clothes from malls here in the ph.
Here’s why:
1 reason is that, what I always see in the mall is exactly the same piece and quality that I can actually buy in tiangge’s.
and..
2 over price sila masyado te! yung tipong sando lang, 600…
It’s not that I can’t afford it, i can.. pero just imagine yung 1000 pesos mo na damit, makakabili kna ng 3 pcs sa greenhills! odiba, more set of clothes! kung quality wise ang labanan, pano kaba maglaba ng damit? naglalagay ka ba ng pirahna sa washing machine at nasisira agad?… arte lng ng mga babae yun kung ang reason is quality… plus admit it, kahit andami dami niyong damit sa closet, you tend to not find an outfit right away kasi ayaw niyo mag ulit ng outfit! chaka lang kapag makita sa mga pictures na ilang ulit mo na sinuot yung damit na yun… favorite mo lang? haha
so bakit hindi niyo nalang i -motto ang quantity over quality in terms of clothes ha? madami pa kayo ma mimix and match nyan! hindi pa kayo sasabihing, chaka bilang hindi kayo paulit ulit sa damit…
pero like sa mga bags,wallet, shoes or watch dun kayo mag invest kasi it’s something that you use everyday eh… dun kayo umexena ng quality over quantity…
Anyway, not all my clothes are from tiangge, some are even from thrift stores because there are a lot of good finds there.. hindi totoong galing hukay yung mga damit dun te! sige nga, meron bang bangkay na naka summer dress or kaya naka jacket na pang winter? they are actually similar to surplus or over runs so wag matakot na bka may putok yung lumang may ari nun.. however in my case, I hand wash it just to be safe. kasi diba ukay ukas has this distinct smell na nakaka hilo… kaya ang eksena dapat, i-babad din ng todo sa tide ultra (haha) para good bye germs.. promise! misnan kung ano pa yung damit ko na gandang ganda yung mga tao, galing lang sa thrift store, pero pag yung damit ko galing mall, parang echipwera lang ksi nakikita na nila to lagi….
I mentioned earlier too that I don’t shop @ malls here in ph…. meaning I do shop at malls too, pero sa ibang bansa… why? because clothes there are actually cheap too… like in bangkok (where most clothes from 168 came from) they are too cheap not to buy… in Hongkong naman, they have cotton on and H&M which are well, a bit pricey but they have SALE and… it’s H&M! you never go wrong with h&m, wala ka pang kaparehas unlike Forever 21 here in ph :| dati 80% of my closet are F21, well actually till now naman kasi mura talaga pero nakaka disappoint kasi when you go out, may makakasalubong ka na kaparehas mo:| I remember, para akong asong nakawala pag nasa F21 ako sa SanFO, but here in ph the one in makati and megamall, i find it hard to buy na kahit parehas naman din nun nasa states kasi ngayon alam kung may kapareha nako na 50 katao! hahaha joke.. pero para na kasi siyang Sm department store, pag nag sale omg, nababaliw mga tao!
